like whats the max score in each section including writing? whats an averae ACT nationwide and average ACT for low C's student?

Each section is out of 36 and your composite score is the average of your reading, english, math, and science scores. Writing section is out of 12.

Each section is out of 36 points. The writing score is out of 12 (two graders give it a score from 1-6 – so the minimum score is 2 unless you leave it blank, write in a foreign language, etc).

The average ACT nationwide is a 21ish.
It’s hard to answer what the average for a C student is. A C student can be a naturally intelligent but lazy student, or a hard-working but not exactly smart student, one who tests well or one who has issues with timing. A kid at my school had a perfect ACT but had a 2.3 GPA. There are students with the same GPA that didn’t even break the 20’s.

Average ACT is a 22. That’s what I got my first time. Don’t let this number fool you because it can go up significantly if you can get familiar with the test and what they ask. Once you start doing practice tests you will see patterns and eventually you can learn them and improve your score. I have gone up ~5-6 points from my practice tests in June.

Average for each section is closer to 21.
