Does anyone have either direct or indirect experience with Penn State Architecture? I would appreciate any and all input!

The Undergraduate Programs
well this magazine ranks penn state architecture as #9 undergraduate program.

The architecture school at Penn State is outstanding. Students spend so much time in their studio classes in their building and Penn State has a beautiful new one. We looked at so many programs and we choose Penn State. Syracuse, the building is off campus, these students work long hours and would have to travel back to campus several miles through the city. Virginia tech was nice but freshman students are using different rooms than older students in studio. Cornell is so expensive. Besides Penn State has a great campus, honors college and the whole college experience. Just know architecture is a lot of endless work. You really have to have a passion, many drop out. Good Luck

What admission criteria do you think is most important to Penn State? Do they want a portfolio? Can architecture students be in the honors college?
Thanks!

Penn State as well as Virginia Tech do no require Portfolio's. Penn State goes on grades and test scores for about 55-60 top students. Then for the last five or so spots they compete with portfolio's. Most certainly architecture students can be in the honor college. All the architecture programs we looked out have limited enrollment.
