I am an international student and I have received an admit from Emory university for masters program in computer science along with a scholarship.
Does anybody have any information on how good is the computer science department at Emory?

What would you have to pay?
I do not have many options, since I want to stay in Atlanta and complete MS. I completed my under graduate program in electronics and I have 4 years of work experience in an IT company back in India. Other than Emory I had applied for computer science program in Kennesaw State university and Georgia state university. My application was rejected at GSU and I am still waiting for a response from KSU. At Emory I will have to pay 9 k per semester.

Is it affordable?
If you’re already in Atlanta, you probably know that Emory as a whole is respected there.
yeah…it is affordable…and yes I have heard a lot about Emory being a very prestigious institution here. I am mainly concerned about job opportunities after I graduate.
That would depend on the economy (which you have no control over) and your own skills as well as immigration policy (also out of your control). Being an Emory grad certainly wouldn’t be held against you and likely is a plus.
I would definitely take Emory over KSU and GSU.
You didn’t consider GTech?
I was pretty late in applying for the colleges and deadline for G tech was way before I started applying.
Besides that my GRE score wasn’t so great, hence I would not have made it in G tech anyway.

As long as your home country has job opportunities, it shouldn’t be an issue.
