How does it rank compared to other schools?

This is hard to answer because RIT isn’t filed into the same Carnegie Classification making direct comparison difficult. But I can say that it is great program. I have a large number of old CS friends now working for Microsoft, Google, MITRE, Lockheed, Apple, Cisco, etc. RIT CS requires four co-op blocks (actual full time work at real companies). Companies have come to learn that RIT GCCIS (computing college) students are often ready to hit the ground running and spend a lot of time recruiting here. If you’re talented, you will very likely find yourself with a job you love.

It’s worth noting that the CS program is also very challenging. A good chunk of students find themselves unable to hack it every quarter.
