I was looking through the major list and it’s been in my mind for a while now. I am an incoming engineering freshman (MechSE) and my classes haven’t even started yet, but CS+Phil seems really interesting to me because I’ve done really well in CS throughout highschool and I love Phil as a pastime. I also read about the degree being offered by Oxford and Stanford, where it focuses on AI, which is also cool.
Could anyone tell what it’s like to major in it (or another CS+X major), and how do employers view it in comparison to a traditional CS degree (considering both lead to a B.S.)? What do you think about the combination of CS & Phil? I don’t think I’m set on switching my major, but it’s just that I’m a very indecisive person and I need information.
Thank you so much for answering.
