All I can say is that one of my friends is an econ major, and I hate him because his schedule is so light!

The schedule's light and the major requires only 40 units (like many of CLAS majors). I'm only a freshman econ major, but I've heard that not too many of the professors are that good. Everyone sort of gives me a weird look when I tell them my major is economics. I guess it's not a popular major here, especially since the business school is so great; everyone asks me if I'm studying economics for business. I think the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences is a good all-around school.

I would like to know what other people think too.

40 units? Try an engineering major, where you'll find 128 units :)
I'm taking microeconomics next semester, so we'll see how that goes.
