How is the Engineering Diversity Weekend At Cornell?

Or just any diversity weekend in general since it is overnight?
This one is Thursday through Saturday which conflicts school time and also my outside college class, so I'm not sure if I should apply...

It is completely worth it. I did the women in engineering program which overlaps with the diversity program, and I got so much out of it. It really made my decision super easy. You learn so much about the programs and resources available to you.

Oooooooooooo. Thank you.
Was it cool living there for a few days? I have never lived at a college before…lol.

It’s different and very fun. It’s an amazing experience to get to stay in a dorm for the first time (though I was nervous to use the bathrooms at first, I wasn’t a fan of sharing bathrooms). Most likely you’ll sleep on the floor of a students room and most of the students who host are typically freshmen. But it was fun, you’ll learn a lot from your host if you do the program. They are (generally) very happy to answer your questions and tell you about their experiences. Hosting is one of my favorite things that I’m a part of at Cornell and I think my host when I did the women in engineering program made me want to host others.

I hosted someone for the program, he enjoyed it and finally chose Cornell. I recommend it.

I highly recommend it! Although im a little biased (I’m on an Excecutive board for diversity hosting) I highly recommend you do it. I hosted 12 people this year, and they all thought it was worth it!

Yea I am almost done with my application. I am definitely going to apply but I guess I’ll have to miss 2 days of class if I get accepted.

I turned in the application, but at the end of the application, it says that the final decisions come out on July 22nd. Admission told me applications deadline was end of July.
