I was wondering how difficult are the classes at Tufts University for a student on a pre-med track. Is there more grade inflation or grade deflation?
While I can’t speak to Tufts specifically, there’s going to be grade deflation and the classes are going to be very difficult on a pre-med track at virtually any university in America. This is especially true at well regarded schools like Tufts.
As a pre-med here, I’ve found the classes here to be rather grade inflated, though they can be difficult at times. I heard from a friend that test averages for organic chemistry are in the upper 80s, compared to 60s and 70s at peer premed institutions such as Vanderbilt.
