<p>I am thinking law school would be a good idea. How is K for pre-law? I would most likely major in history, with a specialization in American history (I really like 20th century American history). Is the history department good? If it's possible, I'd like to double major with something more marketable like econ.</p>
K is great for pre-law. A lot of grads go on to law school. As an attorney (not a K grad, by the way, my D goes there) I can tell you that History is a great backdrop to law school. You can major in history and possibly double major in business or poli sci, but keep in mind you choose wisely so you can still do your overseas study.
