how is the old collegeboard, 10 real SAT's work as practice for the NEW Sat?

Critical reading, especially. Are the questions from this book VERY consistent with the CR passage reading questions from the NEW sat? Also, is it worth looking over math?

They are the exact same. Definetly get the book if you need Critical Reading Help only. As for math, I would still do them if you need help just because the concepts are the same and you can watch out for the ETS tricky answers, but they arent as hard

It's pretty good. However, some questions from it are re-used for the new blue SAT book

why not just get the "official SAT study guide". Its the 10 real successor

Vyse, if you run of tests in the Blue book or want to save the tests, you can use the questions in 10RS to practice with. Though the tests as a whole are not useful, you can ignore the analogies and QC's and practice with the rest of the questions.

For some reason, maybe it's me, I find the old SAT CR passages A LOT HARDER. I am working out of 8 real SATs, from like 1995/94 or something. But then again, the curve was ridiculously easy (like 5 wrong and still get 800 in CR)

^

i find them easier lol. i mean, much easier to comprehend, and the questions are a lot clearer too. ie wrong answers.

btw where did you get the "8 real" sats. i have the 10 real one. Is the 8 real also published by CB? and is it the same questions/tests as the ones in the "10 real" book?

Info on the different CB Real SAT books.

8RS was published by CB a while back and you'll have to find a used copy (Amazon has them starting at $0.47 + S&H).
Twinkletoes, if you have 8RS handy, could you check the test dates in that thread and post any corrections?

^ does 8RS have the same tests as the 10 REAL SAT's? like did they just add 2 tests to make the 8 into the 10?

Look at the posted link - it doesn't look like there's any overlap between 8RS and 10RS Third Edition
