I've heard Davidson has a very strong science program especially for liberal arts colleges but I was wondering about the quality of their physics program, specifically.

Hmm, I’m wondering the same thing. It looks like there are a number of areas of research done by faculty but I’d like to hear from someone who is a part of the program.

No one ever answered this one. I wonder if there’s a way to get more info on this topic. I’ve looked at the website but would love to hear from a student in the department.

I’ve heard mixed reviews. My freshman year, I took a “baby physics” course (astronomy: intro physics boiled down and geared toward non-majors) and though I did not do well, I enjoyed the class and the professor, Dr. Cain, and learned a lot. I know a lot of premed students take their required physics courses during the summer at other colleges, but I don’t know why that’s the case. The number of majors is pretty small, so I imagine you’d get unlimited attention from your advisor if you declared physics.
