How is the recruiting and internship opportunities at Cornell for Comp Sci students?

I’m a prospective CAS CS student and was wondering how the recruiting/internship opportunities are on campus. Do big companies such as Facebook, Google, etc. come recruit on campus? Is it easy to get internships, both during the school year and during summer, like it is at UC Berkeley? Is there any reason to attend Cornell over Berkeley as a CS major?

Thanks!

Cornell is viewed favorably in the CS world and will have plenty of recruiting opportunities. There are plenty of reasons to attend Cornell over UC Berkely, but which reasons apply depend on the student. I’ll keep it short and say that while UC Berkely may be viewed marginally more favorably, you should consider fit factors, class size (if it matters to you), environment, weather, etc with a decent weight in addition to CS strength.
