How is the scholarship?

<p>Hello guys, I am thinking about applying to UD. My friends laugh at me and wonder why I would apply to such a "joke" school, but I feel that it would be smarter financially to not be 100K in debt once I get out. UD Honors program has always intrigued me. So I would like to ask: How generous is the scholarship? I heard that if I apply I'm automatically considered. Were you considered, and if you were, how much money did you receive?</p>

<p>I'm asking because I want to know whether I should spend the effort to write the essays. I don't want to sound arrogant or anything, but I have a very good shot of getting in (top 10%, 35 ACT, 6 AP self study 5's, multiple leadership positions, national awards, etc.) Would this put me in scholarship range?</p>

<p>If you look back through this UD forum, you’ll find the accepted student threads from the past few years. Many of the students listed their stats and the amount of their merit scholarships.</p>

<p>Yes, you have a shot at getting in, and being considered for a scholarship, but, IMHO, UD deserves better than to be considered a “joke” school.</p>
