How is the setting/feel at the campus?

Unfortunately I've never visited Vandy, but I am thinking about transferring (reason I joined CC). I've only read great things about this school. What would you say is the best thing about Vandy, opportunity wise.
Also, I've never been to TN, and never heard much about it either, how do you think a city raised person would 'get along' there? Is it city like, or is it more rural? (excuse my ignorance about TN guys!)
What are the nearby things college students can do around campus and close-by?

Thanks :D

Nashville is a large city, and Vanderbilt is very close to the downtown area. There are restaurants, bars, and shops near the campus and a large park across the street. There is plenty for the students to do.

Where are you from?

I live live/grew up in Nashville and I go to high school across the street from Vandy. I think the campus is really nice- lots of trees, etc. It’s also in a good location that’s pretty centrally located in relation to the city. It’s in midtown, which is close to a lot of good restaurants and bars. Nashville is a decent sized city but it “has a small town feel”- that is to say that nothing really feels that far away and there are great communities
