I’ve decided that if the waitlist doesn’t work out, or my appeal doesn’t (which would be dumb because I have like 4-5 pieces of new and compelling information for them) I’m just going to community college. I got into UCSC and UCR. I only applied to 6 schools. UCI has been my dream school. I wish everyone luck, but idk if this news we heard this morning is good or bad. We shouldn’t stress about it.
@coolforschool I’m sure you’ll be happy wherever you go
Plus you can always transfer
Honestly I really hope it’s not bad news…
GOOD NEWS! I looked at the UCI facebook page, and the “no housing” email is not true. I have no idea where that one poster got that info.
Where did you see that? I got it from an actual freshman and it’s on ms Suns blog?
The UCI admissions center. Ms Sun’s blog doesn’t say that for certain there is not enough housing
@coolforschool yeah I think you’re right, just because they’re taking a housing survey doesnt mean they are short of housing. A lot of colleges send out surveys for food and rooms and stuff it’s pretty normal.
Uh oh! UCI said that they will release decisions by June 1st now!
@coolforschool where do you see the by June 1 thing?
Messaged them on facebook
It’s so unclear XD
Today can be the day that before June1 and May30 is also can be the day…
Come on UCs.
@coolforschool they always said it was by June 1
That’s the ABSOLUTE maximum deadline in which they can release waitlist decisions but they would definitely not release everyone’s on June 1
I still think it’s by may 15 for most of us
Did you guys get the email right now for survey? It has nothing to do with waitlist, just simply about what we thought application and if applied other schools than UC’s.
@blah97blah I never got any email
me either!
@waitlisted1234 by taking the survey you enter to win a $50 gift card lol
no one heard back yet? lol i wanna know already…
This is part of a post from the UCBerkeley wait list page,
“So I SIR’d to UCI and they sent a housing email because they overestimated for admissions for the freshman class now freshman are going to be put in apartments in/out of campus. Which I’m assuming that they won’t pull out students from their waitlist…”
Posted yesterday at 8:16
Does anyone know exactly what the email said last night?
In 2012 they had a surplus of freshmen and they had to open up the apartments for freshmen, but from what I have heard in 2012 everyone who was put on the waitlist got accepted
All we can do is hope
this doesnt sound too good… ahh D:
