@collegelyfe17 haha yeah that information is off. That is from year’s past and uci has not even released their admission data for this year yet 
They Will release it sometime in May.

i’m actually really nervous. there’s still that possibility that irvine will reach its target enrollment. Anything can happen, and I don’t want to be too sure that they will pull from the waitlist, although I really do hope they take us off…
Anyways, do you guys think looking at the Facebook group is an accurate way of predicting how many will enroll? (haha yes i’m that desperate to get the estimate of the numbers) I know obviously there are people who enrolled and aren’t in the group, but there’s also people who already go to UCI plus those people who chose another school over irvine still in the group so maybe it balances out?

Oh also, from reading past collegeconfidential waitlist discussions, I noticed that when UCI accepts people off the waitlist, they accept early (May 1-May 8 ish), and if they don’t accept anyone, then they just reject them on may 15. So early news is good news probably!

Do you mean how many people were accepted last year?
I don’t remember but off the top of my head, I think around 80% was accepted.
2013: almost 0%
2012: 100%
I am hopeful for this years waitlist!

let’s try to stay positive!! Personally I think we have a good chance.
But if we don’t get accepted off the waitlist, we can always transfer or who knows we might end up falling in love with the school that we go to.
So if this doesn’t work out, you guys will all do amazing somewhere else!!

Oh idk how many there were around this time last year. But right now last year’s group has 10k people (including random people who aren’t even going to uci or like people from the wrong year)
And this year’s group has like 3.7k which you’ve probably seen before.
It’s just kind of sort of… A good sign maybe??? There was a lot less acceptances this year and it’s proven cus of all the articles about how they waitlisted a lot of people.

@waitlisted1234 thanks for answering my question! and also does UCI always do an all or nothing waitlist acceptance like in 2012 and 2013? sigh i think I might faint from the anxiety of the waitlist
@collegelyfe17 according to previous posts its usually about 35-40% acceptance off waitlist, unless its 2013 and they over-enrolled.
Hopefully it will come out soon haha
