How difficult is it to get a 3.9+ GPA at UNC? I got in as a Transfer Student from Pepperdine University with a 3.98. I study 5-7 hours a day and I want to know If i’d be able to maintain my gpa at UNC if i decide to go there. Do you know people with 4.0’s? Are there classes where no one gets As no matter how hard one tries? If you’re put in the work is it feasible? What causes people to underperform at UNC? Party too much? Don’t study enough? Classes to difficult? What do you think the median GPA is at UNC? What GPA do the top 10% of students get? Top 5%? Top 1%? Am I smart enough to succeed here? I’m among the top 1% of Students at Pepperdine with my grades, but that’s competing against students who were mostly B+/A- students in highschool. At UNC I’ll be competing against students who were valedictorians and geniuses so I’m pretty intimidated
Also I hear there is crazy grade deflation at UNC, if anyone wants to comment on that
There is no grade deflation at UNC and I have never heard anybody say that there is.
depends on your major. I’ve heard for some classes in hard STEM fields the average is a C- on exams, but I’ve heard humanities are not bad at all. think it varies widely
