How is this first semester schedule?

Yeah, @LCali511, Phase 1 cap creates headaches! For my son, he will go for MATH 55, MATH H100 and CLASSIC R44 (total of 13 units) during phase 1. It seems that LATIN 101 is the easiest course to get into (only 2 students currently enrolled), so it can wait till Phase 2.

However, I would like to ask the expert @ucbalumnus: Does the cap of 13.5 units in phase 1 applies to all students or only to the continuing students? I saw somewhere the limit formulated as applied to “Phase I of undergraduate enrollment for continuing students”. I emphasize “continuing” here… And another question. Will all courses listed in the schedule “go”, or some will be ‘stopped’ due to lack of enrollment? I am a bit worried about LATIN 101 that has only 2 students currently enrolled…

Nothing on the web sites suggests that new students have a limit different from 13.5 units in phase 1. You can ask the registrar directly if you are still not sure.

I asked my counselor, and she said the 13.5 Phase I cap doesn’t apply to incoming freshman. There is just the hardtop of 17.5 units.

@kjake2000 – thank you very much for that nugget. Maybe that’s why there is no Phase 2 listed, just the adjustment period.

@kjake2000 Thank you so much! I knew I saw this somewhere, I just could locate the spot again! Hurray!
