how is this for a list?

Well, I am really nervous about applying to colleges, and I need some opinions. Here is my academic information:

GPA: 3.92 unweighted /4.92 weighted
SAT: M- 750 CR- 680 W-640
ACT: 31
4 years varsity golf, 2 years captain
President of photography club, member of National Honor Society, Scholar Bowl, Model UN, Academic World Quest, Physics Club, and SGA.
150 volunteer hours.
Part time employee at local country club.

What do you guys think of my list? If it is too optimistic, please let me know.

Reach: UPenn, Brown, Vanderbilt
Match: Notre Dame (legacy), Emory, Lehigh, UNC
Safe: Wake Forest (legacy), Florida

If you are in Florida, you are ok for Florida. All of the others – really, ALL of the others!! – are very high reaches. You need more matches and safeties.

Actually strikes me as not a bad list. I don’t know that Wake Forest is an auto admit, so I don’t know about listing it as a safety. Also keep in mind it has to be affordable to be a safety.

^^^ i’m not worried about money. I only said Wake Forest because my dad is friends with the dean of admissions

oops! I found a typo. It’s really 740 for writing, not 640 lol

Good list.

Not sure if Wake is a safety, but you make a very good candidate.

I will say that of the schools you have “Match”, Lehigh is the easiest to get into. Typically easier than Wake as well.

As a legacy at Wake and with yours stats I would call it a safety/match. The rest of the list is tough but you do have great stats. Blow them out of the water with essays, great interviews and letters of rec and you should have a shot at most of these places.

*i’m not worried about money. *

As long as your parents are willing to pay whatever colleges expect them to pay, then it seems likely you’re ok. Have you asked your parents how much they’ll pay or are you guessing that you don’t have to be concerned about money?

Might look at Holy Cross-similar to several schools on list. HC has good combination of academics and athletics and beautiful campus 1 hour from Boston. Holy Cross is easier to get into than ND. The Holy Cross golf program has a strong tradition and plays a competitive shedule. Holy Cross also has one of the stronger alumni networks-very good for job placement.
