How is this school for both Interactive media and Graphic Design?

I know that FIT is reknown for fashion, but what about their other majors? If you know anything about their program in Graphic Design and/or Interactive Media, please post your comments and opinions.

What is FIT like socially? How is the food? Are there things to do there besides study?

Have you tried looking at http://studentsreview.com ? There are reviews/comments about it there.

I went to FIT for a year (fashion merchandising) and decided to transfer. The people who are there for something other than fashion are mainly, not all, new york state residents who are getting cheap tuition and couldn't afford to go to a more expensive, private art school.

I lived in the dorms, which, if you live in the city or within 30 miles of the school, you're not even qualified for unless you're in the Presidential Scholars Program (which i was). The food is ok, it just gets old after awhile. It's actually alot better than some other schools i've been to, but the times that it's open are inconsistent and you operate on a cash equivalancey system so you can't go back for seconds, and if you go over the value of that meal it comes out of your declining balance.

I left because i didn't find my major challenging enough and i couldn't stand the not typical college atmosphere. All of the girls are catty and pretty antisocial too.
