How is UC Berkeley college of environmental design?

So I’ve been looking for an architechure college to apply to and noticed that UC Berkeley is one of the top architechure schools. Is it worth it? How did you get in if you are a student or were a student?

I am not familiar with the specifics of Berkeley’s program, but I do know it is a 4 yr Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, as opposed to a 5 yr professional program (BArch - offered at USC and both Cal Polys). You will need to continue on and earn a masters degree (MArch). I suggest you go to the “majors section” on CC and look under architecture, there is some good info on the difference in programs, etc.

I’m a Cal student who absolutely loves the university. My friend is a Sustainable Environmental Design major in CED and likes the college a lot since they have a lot of extra advising. I’ve hear the architecture program is a bit toxic. Students are expected to work on projects for an inordinate amount of time per week (80 hrs?) and have to pay a considerable amount for materials. I’d try talking to a current architecture student to see how they like it. CED can probably connect u to someone if you don’t know anyone at Berkeley.
