How is it for matsci and engr?
is it comparable to UC Berkely, UCLA, and CP SLO?
what is the amount of students in the dept?
I cannot answer how UCD is for Materials Engineering, but overall their Engineering department is well respected.
Comparable to UCB/UCLA and SLO how? Academics/# of Undergrad students in the program/# of graduates of the program/Curriculum.
I was only able to find 2015-2016 data for the # of Undergrads enrolled in Materials that was 129 vs. 513 for ME and 511 for Civil, but not the least enrolled Engineering major.

do u ahve these enrollemtn stats for all the UC’s?
so this is all undergrads, so how many enter Davis as MSE and hwo many graduate?
also i was wondering as how it compares for learning experience, and jobs
No, I do not have all the enrollment stats for the UC’s by major. You can do a search like I did using Google: Undergrad Enrollment numbers by major at UC_____
The data I linked show how many Undergrads were enrolled at that time for each major. It does not show how many students enter UCD with that major.
Try this link for the # of graduates: http://budget.ucdavis.edu/data-reports/documents/enrollment-reports/emjg1st_fcurr.pdf
Again, if you want information regarding learning experiences and jobs, contact the Department or take of tour of the campus and meet with Engineering students. Part of the application process is doing some research on the schools of interest.
