Hey im planning to transfer to either UC Davis, Irvine or if i get in l.a or san diego
I will probably end up at davis because i tagged there..

How is the campus? I really wanna be at a school where the weather is nice and everyone hangs out around campus

What is the major ethnicity of people there? Do you regret or are you glad you went there?

any and all comments would be appreciated. thanks

Weather: In September, it’s hot, but then it gets cooler in October and cold in the winter months. It doesn’t start to warm up until late March. Rain usually comes in late fall (like October) or winter, although this year, all the rainfall happened in early spring. Summer is really hot.

Asians make up the majority of people here. You can see a breakdown of students’ ethnicities here: [UC Davis News & Information :: UC Davis Facts: Student Headcount by Ethnicity](http://facts.ucdavis.edu/student_headcount_ethnicity.lasso)

I love the school. It’s the ONLY UC that has my major (Animal Science) and has animal-related courses that prepare me for vet school, there are lots of internship opportunities, and the people here are friendly. Also, Davis is a huge bike-friendly city, so if you’re looking to get exercise while being in college, just bring a bike up if you have one and ride your bike to classes! Or you can just take the Unitrans bus, which usually run on time in my experience (although buses with longer routes are more likely to be late).

Asians make up the majority of non caucasian students, but there are over 8,000 caucasian according to you link. My son goes to Davis, he is 1/2 way done and LOVES it. The town the school everything. It is a bit colder and hotter than where he comes from (Central Coast area) but he has been very happy there the entire time.

I don’t go to Davis but I toured there (my sister was really big on it) and a few of my best friends also go there. I really like the campus, it’s very beautiful and quite big (back then I wasn’t in shape at all so I got tired just from the tour LOL). Also, I’ve asked my friends numerous times and they all say that the whole “There’s nothing to do in Davis” is kind of a myth, my best friend goes there and he says there are ample sources of entertainment, especially on campus. Plus, as a bowler, I’m incredibly jealous of the bowling alley. I’d be there every day if I went to Davis, I’d probably be broke LOL.
