I was just wondering for those going to summer school, how is it going? are the classes way tougher than Community college?

Im taking Calc 1 at UCSD and its going pretty good. The class is not that much tougher than the last math class I took at CC. However, the students seem to be more focused than at CC.

I’m taking a polisci class at ucla and its significantly more difficult that community college. The readings are pretty extensive there are three books for a six week class. The midterm and finals aren’t “difficult” but they cover a very wide range of topics so being ready for it takes a lot of preparation.
Lets just say at community college i could have gotten away with studying for all my classes in the same time i study for just this one.

I’m taking an upper-division economics course and its going pretty well. There is a fair amount of reading but overall the work is still doable, especially if Community College went by smoothly. It’s not as large a step up as I had anticipated.
