how is ucsb pre-med?

i know ucsb does not have a medical school like ucsd (or davis for that matter), are there still opportunities to do research etc. and do well as a pre-med?

Idk about research opportunities but when I went to spring insight they said the med school acceptance rate was slightly below avg

take a look at [Health Professions Advising :: Volunteer & Internship Opportunities](http://www.ltsc.ucsb.edu/health/volunteer_intern.php) This is arguably more important than research. You’re not going to get into med school if you haven’t spent some time volunteering in a medical setting; they’ll wonder if you really know what you’re getting yourself into. That said, there are of course research positions on campus and here is a link http://research.ucsb.edu/undergrad/</a> .
