Hello guys, I've decided to pursue Petro Engg at UNSW,Australia as an international undergrad and it would be really helpful if a fellow Indian who has been or had studied in it or lived in Sydney can give me an insight about the university and the city and how it treats Indians :P Also students pursuing petro engg are invited to share what kind of experience it is as well as what is the course load. Is more importance given on theory like India or is it easier than edu system in India
Thanks alot.

UNSW is really good, times higher education ranks it around 50ish. Just one question, Why petroleum engineering?

Because firstly it interests me, I like exploring the world and $_$ the pay is worth it. Isn’t that enough?

It is only offered by selective universities and the demand is increasing. ;)

If you want $$, you’re choosing the wrong major. Starting salary at engineering majors tend to be high but it’s all downhill from there. I’d say go into Business/Fianance/Economics and go work at Wall Street.

Don’t tell me what to do. :)
