how is uw bothell compared to uw seattle?

Bothell isn't too bad right?

I was accepted by both campuses, and I was planning on going to the main Seattle one, but I received a $4000 scholarship from Bothell (the only other fin aid I have are loans), so I chose Bothell instead (since seattle didn't give me one). Was this a good choice? I was thinking of transferring to seattle campus in two years when I start going into the major, should i do that?

Also does anybody know how good bothell's CSS program is compared to Seattle's CS? And that it really is a CS program and not a CIS/MIS/MIT program?

I live in Bothell and go to BHS so we are super close the UW bothell campus. Personally, i would choose the Seattle campus over bothell cause i don’t want to live with my parents lol. But if they have the major you want to major in, then go for it. UW Seattle and UW Bothell isn’t really that much different, the same school except Bothell has less majors. Great campus though for a branch off school.

I am surprised you chose Bothell, despite the scholarship. Are you instate?

Bothell is much more limited in terms of variety of classes because. It is actually very similar to community colleges. However, there is an advantage at Bothell that will be hard to find at Seattle: smaller class sizes and establishing close ties with professors. Seattle is a very large campus with classes set in theaters. Teachers will lecture for most of the time and it is the students responsibility to walk into office to converse with profs. Seattle has many more courses and most are not available at Bothell nor Tacoma (the third UW campus). Lastly, this is just my opinion: attending Seattle will easily open more opportunities because you’re constantly meeting people from Seattle and you’re located where many companies come to start! But, if you are bright and you make the best of what you have at Bothell, there might not be much of a difference in which is better in your perspective.

You should transfer to UW eventually, but in my opinion you should have just gone to a community college. It would have offered you the same opportunities and might have saved you a little bit of money. You did get a nice scholarship though, so that may not be the case! Good luck at UW Bothell! :)

Transfer to Seattle at some point (there are definitely more opportunities/more depth), but Bothell is good for now.
