Hi guys!
I am admitted to Wake Forest as a biophysics major :) I am seriously considering Wake Forest for the next four years of my life! However, Wake is not so well-known here in NY so I don't really know how good this school's undergrad is for some top graduate schools.
I want to study bio-mechanical in graduate school and my top choices are UCB and Stanford (I know those are really tough... but why not try right?). So how is the biophysics degree from Wake valued? My other schools are all tech school, so will an actual engineering degree valued higher?
Thank guys! All your opinions are appreciated!

As I said in an earlier post, Wake is very well-known to graduate schools and employers, if maybe not to all your buddies in NY. Wake Forest is a top-25 national university…that’s a big deal. You will have no problems saying “Wake Forest” to any graduate school of repute and getting anything other than a positive response. You can get into graduate program, law school, or med school with a Wake Forest degree as long as you have good grades and a good application to back it up. Basically, the Wake Forest name will not hurt you at all, it will actually help you if you get a good GPA. Check out the websites of Yale Law (top law school), Harvard Med, or any other top graduate school, and you’ll see “Wake Forest University” on the list of admitted students’ schools. It’s not just me spitting propaganda at you; it happens all the time. Wake will equip you to go anywhere (we just had our 13th Rhodes scholar in the past 20-odd years this year) as long as you show her the passion and drive in return.

@mcbabaysheep Thank you for your insight! But my problem here is mainly about engineering. As we know there is no engineering major in Wake so I have to apply as a science major. How do you think a science degree from Wake is valued when it comes to top engineering schools?

I honestly don’t know enough to answer your question; that would be something to visit campus and ask about.
