They have an 5 year engineering specialty called Electromechanical Engineering. Its the only one of the schools I was accepted to that is ABET accredited.

The other two schools(umass-boston, suffolk university) I was accepted to isn't ABET accredited.

So anyone know if Wentworth Institute of Technology is any good or has anyone ever heard of it?

P.S. My future goal is to be a investment banker.

thanks

Which of these schools is the best?

Some people said its hard/impossible to do I-banking with a degree from these schools without connections. Is IB still possible with these schools?

thanks

I really have no idea. For what you want to do ABET accreditation isn't going to be important. Pick the school that has the best finance department and take extra classes there.

we have a really great school in new york called QueensBoro CC, it is mainly for elite students like yourself, they are one of the best, if not THE best for engineering. Why goto WIT when u can goto QBCC? u can still apply.

Ummm... I think new york is too far. And I don't think I heard of QBCC before.. Whats its ranking on US News?

I probably wouldn't go to stanford oeven if they accepted me because its too far. My choices are pretty much limited to schools in massachusetts. Preferably in the boston area.

Yeah I know I have pretty good stats compared to most of friends. But somehow I still got rejected by Both Boston University and Boston College.
My stats are:

-SAT I: 540 math, 630 verbal
-SAT II: 550 writing, 600 math IC, 630 us history
-GPA: 2.9
-Class Rank: 63/364
And I think I got decent essays and recommendations.

But somehow BU and BC both rejected me... maybe I'll appeal or something. And I got waitlisted for Northeastern University and Mass. college of pharmacy. Whats my chances of getting off the waitlist or getting a sucessful appeal?

Now I have to pick from UMass-Boston, WIT, or Suffolk. Anyone know of any schools I could still apply to that is good for I-banking?

thanks

i have no idea what tier 5 means?

you ssound like a nerdy geek who live with his mom.

All its graduates are 100% certified to become PE. And WIT no different from MIT, my friend said that their curriculum is both ABET controlled its the same thing kinda. only somewaht better labs at MIT but WIT makes up for it with co-op.

my mom does drink bad zerox and she doesn't like people who mess with her children are anti-semites are are delsional so YOU best watch out
