I've heard that your GPA gets "reset" at the school you transfer to, but if you want to transfer again what GPA will the school use, your last school's GPA or the combined total?

It’s entirely up to each school to decide how they calculate these things. That said, I’m not so sure that overall GPA is of much interest to them in any case. Everything I’ve ever heard from schools (not that they say much) indicates that they’re mostly interested in looking at your transcript class-by-class and evaluating your record in detail.

Schools seem to be interested mostly in recent work (typically the last 60 credit hours taken in the last 2-3 years).

They require a minimum GPA which is why I’m asking…do you think if I applied to a third school they would be accounting for grades at my first school?

If they require a minimum GPA, it’s probably going to include all college classes taken after you graduated from high school. But it’s still up to the individual school to set its own rules. You should probably just call them.
