actually i just found out that all of your regents have to average out to a 90 to get advanced designation with honors! yes!

8th grade
Earth Science - 97

9th grade
Biology - 96
Math A - 100

10th grade

Global - 96

11th grade

US history - 98

these tests are as close to a joke as possible....

Living Env. 91
MathA 81

does anyone know if I can take the mathA regents over again, or would I have to take freshman math to take the integrated algebra regents.

that 81 has really been bothering me

What exactly is the point of the Regents tests? (I live in CA)

for graduation.new york kids need to pass the regents to graduate.

It can't possibly be easier than the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam), the test California kids need to pass in order to graduate high school. I remember there were seniors actually protesting against the CAHSEE to the California Department of Education because they couldn't pass it in the three chances they were given (10th, 11th, 12th grade), lol.

trust me. it is.

Oh god. I cannot believe you guys are arguing about the difficulty of CA vs. NY exams.

Obviously you have not heard of TAKS (Texas).

Dude, I live in CA and sophomores took it, a lot of them bubble in wrong answers and leave a lot blank.

They still pass.

So is there ever gonna be a general consensus on which state has the easiest graduation exam?

No. probably not. Since the opinions can [I presume] only come out from those each in their individual states and can't really tell about the other states.

Biology-84
Earth Science-84
Chemistry-77

Global Studies- 95

Math A-88

Italian-92

but getting any form of regents diploma (even one with honors) doesn't affect college admissions, only public ones in NY, right?

it'll be nice to have one anyway (:

Well, the CAHSEE only has an English and math portion as opposed to the Regents which seems to test on all subjects.

^ What's that for?

The regents is good in case you want to take advanced classes. So say you want to skip regents chemistry to go into AP chem, just take the regents in june and august and independently study for it, and you dont' have to take the class that you took the regents for already. i'm doing that for chem, and i'm taking it in august..

just make sure you get master level (85) or above for the regents though..

9th grade: Bio-96
10th (good year!): Math A: 100
Chem-100
Global-99
11: Latin-100
Math B-99
US-99
Physics-91 (only studied like 2 days)

8th:
Earth Science: 95
Math A: 94

10th:
Living Envi/Bio: 97
US History: 98
Math B: 99
French: 96

(I'm cool like that and took AP US in 10th grade... lived in a different state in 9th grade, 11th-12th... was only up in NY in 10th because of Katrina)

Are Regents scores normally this inflated, or are you guys just the pick of the crop?
