So this is a thread commenting on your schedule next year. Not rigor, but like order of classes, teachers, etc. I'll start.

I'm very happy about mine. I have the same teacher for english and tok (she's hard ffor english)... I dont like tht part about my schedule lol. Generally, I got the best teacher for every subject. :)

So when I first got my tentative schedule I got ALL the worst teachers. But thankfully, it switched up during the summer and I got the best AP Euro teacher.

I still have a weird English teacher, but I should be fine…

I also have a free first and a free seventh =D So school starts at 9 and ends at 2:40.
And on Thursdays it starts at 10 and ends at 2. haha. I’ve been waking up everyday at 6 to volunteer over the summer so I’m super pumped to sleep in for school :]

Right now I don’t have any classes except 3rd period but when they all start:

10:30 Start

1st Period is online AP English Lit. I think the teacher is very mean and strict.

2nd Period I have to eat lunch in the online lab and leave for Calc

Calculus is at the community college with someone who’s apparently half-way competent

3rd Period is Honors Biology; I miss the first 10 minutes of class each day for calc but the teacher is new and really cool. Most people in my class are really stupid. On the first day… let’s just say half the class left thinking fire is alive (long story)

4th Period AP US History Online… I think I get the crazy online civics teacher who’s never there and insists on sending me (and me alone) e-mails signed with her first name only 0.o

4:30 End

M, W 6:00-8:50 pm is nighttime General Chemistry at the community college. I have a feeling the medium age is going to be like 28 or something. Should be fun, but no partying for me on Monday’s and Wednesday’s

I’m doing IB as well
I’ve got study hall first period so I get to sleep in on Mondays xD
then econ, tok, and french so pretty easy day.
Tuesday’s worse, got history, math, english and chem.
I got the good math, french, and history teachers. Econ teacher i don’t know…and our english teacher is new. Chem teacher is okay as well. :)

My pre-cal teacher isn’t too bad. My Comp Sci teacher is awesome. My english teacher should be good, but I wanted the other, because she’s nicer and gives less work. My APUSH teacher is awesome, but doesn’t teach that much, but that’s what self-studying is for ;D. My AP Chem teacher is awesome as well, and I wish we had the other physics teacher, because they switch between teaching advanced and (honors/standard) classes each year, and we got the harder one who’s much more strict D:.

I’m also sad I don’t have as many classes with some of my friends as last year, but I also have more classes with some other friends, so I suppose it balances out.

My school went from 9 periods to 8 periods, so there was a bit of a change. My senior schedule is:

Period 1: AP Spanish
Period 2: Theology IV
Period 3: AP Calculus
Period 4: AP Gov. and Politics
Period 5: AP English Literature
Period 6: Lunch
Period 7: AP Biology
Period 8: free or AP Bio Lab

School starts at 8am and ends at 3pm, but there’s a weird part at the end of the day between when classes end and dismissal that lasts twenty minutes and is supposed to be for students to meet with teachers or for clubs to meet. Lunch is a full period. My teachers are all pretty good in their respective areas. The only class I don’t think I’ll like is Theology but it’s required, so…

I loveee my schedule. My guidance counselor took forever fixing it for me.

1 - US History Honors
2 - AP Psych
3 - American Gov’t Honors/TBA
4 - TBA/Economics Honors

I’m still missing a period. We’re on block scheduling so I have 5-8 off.

Mondays & Wednesdays: College Algebra & Comp 1 from 1:30-2:45 and 4:00-5:15, respectively @ CC.

The only thing I need to add is a science class. I had one at dual enrollment but it filled up. I will probably be taking it at CC. Yes, my schedule isn’t very competitive. I like it, though ;)

I get out at 10:13 every day though… sweeeeeeeet

1st- DE Entrepreneurship: I start my day with a business class. 2nd- Mass Media: Followed up by an easy and really fun elective. 3rd- Environmental Science: Easy class. I wish we offered AP though. 4th- AP English Lit.: Has a great teacher. 5th- AP Psych: Been waiting for this class for a while. Lunch- Who doesn’t like lunch? xD DE Government: My first real college formatted class, Yay!

I wont have my actual schedule until the first day of school but I took a peek at my list of teachers while I was in guidance a few weeks ago.

Honors Algebra II - Awesome teacher Honors Chemistry - Last year there was a really difficult teacher and few As were given out but he moved up to AP chem so now we have the old CP teacher. She’s nice but i’m scared she will be too easy. People said she was ridiculously easy in CP. Honors US History I - I don’t personally know the teacher. Honors French III - I’m scared. My teacher last year was such a joke. We learned nothing and everyone got As. We watched music videos and movies [in french] the whole time. The french III teacher doesn’t speak english very well and the class is difficult. I’ll have him for the rest of high school if I continue french. CP English 10 - I don’t know the teacher but I heard he’s hard Astronomy - Again, don’t know the teacher but everyone who had him for 9th grade intro science loved him. Oceanography - The teacher is amazing! I had her last year for honors biology Web Design - Don’t know the teacher and never heard anything about her. PE - The field house is on the other side of the building away from everything and the teacher always lets us out late. 4 minutes usually isn’t enough time to rush out of the locker room and sprint to your next class. Lunch - 15 minutes is not long enough for me to eat.

I’m content with the teachers I got, but I’m not happy with the order of my classes. My easy(required) class of yoga is my first period. I get up an extra hour early to do yoga:( I wish I had started the day with an AP class to get it over with. I am also not too content with the fact that all of my honors and AP classes are back to back:/ Overall though, I think I can cope with it and if it weren’t for the fact that I have to write two essays tomorrow, I would be excited for school to start:)

Well, we have 4 classes one day and 4 different classes the other day.

Odd Day A-Level History (International Relations): I’ve had the same teacher for two years, and now it’ll be three. He’s awesome, History is awesome. A great way to start the day. AP Art History: I’ve never had her…I’ve heard that the teacher nice, though. French IV: Never had the teacher before, but she loves me. She really likes my enthusiasm for French Study Hall: I wanted to have an easier Senior year…and have time for self-studies/other things.

Even Day AS-Level English Lit: Fun class; lots of friends in it. Teacher is also awesome. A-Level English Lit: Same teacher as last period. Less people; almost like a seminar. A-Level Biology: I’m not too fond of the teacher…we didn’t really learn anything in AS Biology…hopefully since so few people are taking A-Level Biology (only like 4, I think) we will be able to study on our own. A-Level Maths: Awesome teacher; Easy class. Great way to end the day. :D

Generally happy except for the fact that I couldn’t take A-Level Chemistry…the professor (and the subject matter) is pretty cool…ah well, AP Chemistry will have to suffice.

1- honors physics- cool teacher. Really chill and nice. Plays music all the time.
2- AP Lit- AWESOME teacher. Total sweetheart, had her last year too but really tough.
3/4- AP Chem- cool, funny, young, and cute, haha
5- lunch
6- office aide
7/8- AP Spanish- shoot me? Nice teacher, third time having her but class is kind of a drag
9- AP Calc- heard good things about the teacher, seems like a cool guy
10- senior early release!

I had 2 drop 2 APs due to scheduling conflicts =(

Algebra 2: Nice, easy teacher. Easy class
Chem: Same as above, except a little harder.
English Honors: Insane teacher. No one got straight A’s last year.
USH Honors: Same as above, except harder.
Spanish Honors: Teacher is eccentric with a funny accent.

Alg 2/Trig (apparently good teacher, mixed reviews from friends)

Symphony (had teacher for years whatevaa)

English Honors (easiest teacher in the school for English)

Physio & Anat (same teacher I had for Biology, she’s ok)

AP Bio (apparently strict teacher yaay?)

French 4 Honors (good teacher, gives lots of work but love her)

US History AP (apparently great teacher)

My only question is… should I try to switch into a different English class (same class, harder teacher, same period), or should I just leave it be?
I really don’t want my English skills to go to waste especially since I’m taking Comp/Lit AP senior year and it is supposedly the most difficult English class in the school and very time consuming. Many people are telling me to just let it be, since I already have a difficult schedule, and that it’s good for me to have an easy English class.
What should I do?

AP Biology - Love my class and it’s the same teacher as last so I love her.

IB Music - Loving this class already. Quite laid-back.

IB Math Studies - Easiest class ever. And I like the teacher.

IB TOK - It’s okay… lots of annoying people in my class, but I’ll deal. The teacher likes me enough.

IB English HL - LOVE this teacher. And I love English, so things are great!

AP Chemistry - Not super fond of this teacher, but I love the seating chart and that our class is smaller than last year so I think things will work out.

IB History of Americas HL - Like the teacher, scared of the work. It’s been fun so far.
