how isolated/small is cornell?

did any students find it boring, or too small for them? is there always enough to do, or is it too small a town for that?

Cornell is in ithaca, which probably has population of 30,000. ithaca is about three hours away from nyc and one hour away from syracuse. cornell is the largest ivy league school with a population of 14000 undergrads so there will always be something to do, even if it is in a small town setting.

Yeah i dont know where you got the small idea from. If cornell is too small, may I suggest UC Boulder? As for Isolated, I wouldn't know, but with a student body that large, things come to campus (like kanye west, ludacris, the 3rd party candidate presidential debate lol)

I hope you aren't one of those lil app increasers because you obviously have not done your homework LIL LOUISE!

Cornell is the biggest Ivy, and is a large school by any standards. Ithaca itself is pretty small, but it's made up of like 80% or some ridiculous number of college students...I highly doubt that would be boring! Not to mention, the whole place caters the the univiersities and their students...so there's ALWAYS stuff to do. Granted, it might get old after a while, but no more than the surroundings/entertainment would at any other similar school.

you're funny nickyjane

Thanks...I try...unless you're being sarcastic...in which case, **** off. :D

haha, nicky you need to chill out, you're going nuts, go have sex or something relaxing like that ;)

i meant ithaca, rather than cornell. that was a silly mistake, sorry

i knew the university was very big, it was the town i was wondering about. at my undergrad university i found that after a while i ran out of things to do on campus and then took more interest in the town. but with the size of cornell, i think there probably would always be things to do

and i just found out they have a silent film cinema with live music, which makes me love them to pieces...

They have their own area code. :)

that is so badass.
