I wondering if I want to take the SSAT on January 7, and the results come out on the Jan. 21, can I still take it and send in my results later. But I’ll still send in my application on time, but how about for the SSAT?
Or I can’t do that way?
Thank you for the reply!
My kid took the January SSAT as a second sitting and I seem to recall there wasn’t an issue with the January scores being accepted by the schools.
SSAT reports scores to the schools before you get them
@sculptordad I thought there was an option to prevent that when you’re signing up for a test?
I believe that @SculptorDad means that if you select the schools to send the report to in advance of the test there isn’t an issue with the scores getting in on time. What is unclear is if an applicant waits to send the score until after the scores have been released. I honestly can’t remember how we handled it last year!

Since the January test is the last possible test, it’s not like you can hold it for another test. I believe you just have to select the schools to be reported in advanced. That’s the price to be paid for taking the January test I think.
@SculptorDad @AppleNotFar I recently emailed Choate (because their deadline is January 10th) about it and they said “As long as all other required documents are received and you have the scores sent directly to us using our code, we will accept them.” Does that mean I cannot view my own scores before I send them to Choate?
@HhopefulFforSsuccess2021 , I believe you are correct. Or else you risk the application. But the email wording isn’t clear. You might want to ask them again.
