How late into your senior year can you take SAT Is and IIs? For Regular Decision? (UCs mostly) What about the regular deadline for other schools in general?

I need some advice based on your experiences:
How many times did you wish you had taken the SAT Is? At what time?

What time do you think is the best time to take SAT IIs corresponding to your AP classes? May or June? Why?

If you took precalc in your sophomore year and are now a junior in calc, what time would YOU take the SAT II Math IIC test? Why?

I would try to take the SAT IIs as close to the AP's as possible. As for the Math II, I would take it soon for the following reasons:a)it almost exclusively covers material from pre-calc and before and b)you might as well get it done early.

For RD, December is usually the last acceptable test date. For early programs, the last acceptable test date is usually October.

Ideally, you'd only have to take it once. But here's what I'd recommend: take it March of your junior year to get a feel of what the real SAT is like (the PSAT is really far off). If you aren't satisfied with your score, use the summer to study and take it again in October of your senior year. This is a very common path.

I'd be inclined to say May, since that's what my school had always followed. It makes sense, since you'd be taking the subject tests and the APs at about the same time. But I remember when I was taking the subject tests, the date was early May, which took away a lot of days of studying. I ended up doing better on the AP exams than the subject tests, since I had to hurry up and finish studying for them before the APs. So you might take them in June, but then you have to wait a few weeks, and after AP exams, you don't want to take any more tests. If you plan well (i.e. know how to make a good study schedule and stick to it diligently), then I'd recommend taking them in May.

As soon as possible -- i.e. as early in calc as you can. The reason is that math II tests you on a lot from precalc and advanced algebra. Calculus does not review most of this for you -- instead you're started on a lot of new math that isn't on math II. Of course, you can in theory take math II at any time, since you can just study/review for it, but as far as I can see, the sooner, the better. I know many people in calc who took math II near the end of the course and got low scores for not being prepared enough for it.

If I dont' score the score that I would like this SAT, should I continue studying and take it during my junior year or put it off until the summer and fall of my senior year? I still need to study for SATs APs, and corresponding SAT IIs.
