There was a supplemental file I wanted to upload on my account, for more detailed explanations for certain activities…however, I’m also awaiting results for something I entered in a contest, which should come out late january or early february. I decided if I want to send in an extra file about activities, I’d rather only send it once. So would it be too late if I wait till early february to send the supplement? Thanks

Hi @FullOutPanic,
For me, I had to apply RD even though Brown is my first choice due to special circumstances. There’s a required supplement for my application that’s not yet able to be submitted for reasons that are pretty much out of my control. I wrote to Brown Admissions detailing my situation and they were very kind and told me it was perfectly okay.

Also, I only just got the log-in credentials for my Brown account on 1/23, if you’re in the same boat, I’m fairly sure they would accept the detailed explanations upload. It goes without saying, just be sure it isn’t redundant information they can easily find on or deduce from your Common App already.

As for the results for the contest, if it is very important to you / would be a major boost or identifying factor to your application, it definitely won’t hurt you to send it in. If you’re unsure, just email the Admissions Office and ask them, they’re quite nice.
