I am applying for both the math honor society and the national honor society in the spring

hosa-1st place in sports med. competition at regional level...state level is in april
athletic trainer for var. and jv soccer and men's track and var/jv tennis
Mu Alpha Theta- mathematics honor society

did u ever apply? I think you should not have problems getting accepted.

I'm wondering about the feel of the school too, shinobi. Looking for a cool, liberal, somewhat diverse urban school. As a Jewish guy I'm a little wary about a Catholic school. Unfortunately I can only visit in the summer. I like the school though and plan on applying and visiting again if accepted, maybe do an overnight. Anyone have any input?

It's a Jesuit school - Jesuits known to be the most liberal among Catholics.

Most Jesuits are really cool, open-minded people.

i don't really know what to say but thanks for responding...i think it would be really cool to be a part of a jewish community at a catholic school in the middle of the bronx. i guess i would fall under the don't really have a religion or still looking but def. not baptist or catholic probably non-denominational at a catholic school in the middle of the bronx. good luck man, i'm still not sure i'll be applying.

I go there, and thats exactly how I see it. It's very laid back type of ambient. It's a catholic school, but it does not beat you over the head with it's religious beliefs. There are lots of students from different denominations that go there too.
