how likely am I to get into the following schools?

I so far have a 3.25 GPA 70 units at a CC i still need to take 2 more physics courses and one more math class before i can apply.
I am currently doing an internship at JPL and been exenteded for a third time.
I plan to apply to:
UC B
UC LA
UC I
Cornell,MIT, CMU
My major is Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Cornell, MIT< CMU, = UNLIKELY

dude, a 3.25 at a CC isn't as high as they would like.

So it doesn't matter that I've been interning in a government lab and can get a letter of reccomendation from a top scientist on the lab? I have also been a math tutor? Man, the truth always hurts.

the most important component of admission criteria for transfer admission is college gpa...ure gpa is below the avg accepted gpa of UMiami, a tier 2 school...that gpa will not suffice for schools that are in the top of tier 1 (like cornell, mit, etc).

unless you are an URM or athete, etc i cant see you standing a reasonable chance at those schools.

im sorry dude, they're right. furthermore, berkeley may be a little out of your reach too, i've heard eecs is murder(admissions, however, maybe a different story). if you have a tap, ucla is a piece of cake to get into; but i dunno if you can get one at this stage in the game, so check with your ccc. thats all i know.

UC B-super reach
UC LA-reach
UC I-match/safety
Cornell-super reach
MIT-don't bother applying (sorry if I sound mean). They take very few transfers out of a super qualified applicant pool.
CMU-I'm not familar with this university.

Try applying to more UC safeties just in case. I think you can still send in money to have schools added to your application.

thanks for the advice. I still have to wait untill I finish my physics courses before I apply. But at least i have a some-what more defined idea of where I should apply.

The UC application period was Nov 1-Nov 30 (Fall 2006). Only a few schools are still accepting applications (such as Riverside). Applications must be submitted by mail. Go to the UC admissions website (ucop.edu...) for info.

Yeah, sorry for the misunderstanding. I am applying next year.
