Hi, I’m currently a junior transitioning to my senior year of high school. My unweighted GPA is a 3.91 and my weighted GPA is 4.13. On my most recent SAT, I received a 1350, and should be able to bump that up at least 50 points. AP classes I’ve taken are Biology, World History, US History, and Composition. I will be taking AP Calculus, AP US Government, AP Literature, and AP Environmental Science as a senior. I will have played four years of Varsity soccer, two years of Varsity football, and a year of Varsity track. I’m in the National Honors Society, secretary of a Student Ambassador Program, volunteer at our local animal shelter, and maintain a part time job. My high school is also a blue ribbon school if that makes the slightest difference. What are my chances at being accepted into one or more of the following: UCLA, Virginia, UNC, UC San Diego, Michigan, Washington, and UC Davis
Which geographical region are you from?
If you are out of state, Michigan is going to be a reach even if you can get your SAT up to 1400. If you are out of state from CA, you will run into the same problem. What is your state flagship?
I’m a California resident, and my UC GPA hovers around a 4.3.
Is your UC GPA of 4.3 your capped weighted or fully weighted? Intended major?
Hi, my capped weighted GPA is a 4.27, and fully weighted is 4.31, so there’s minimal difference. My intended major as of today is Biology or Biomedical Sciences.
for biology look at UCSB too and you have a decent shot at most schools but i would drop michigan and replace it with something else
Bump up your SAT score to at least a 1400+ and you have a chance at UCLA. The rest of the UC’s are possible.
Best of luck.
