I will be a freshman at UVA next year and I know that the housing process is totally random but you have the option to request a roommate. I called housing and the last told me that there is no guarantee for getting your preferred roommate so I was wondering how likely it is for it to actually work out? I made a new friend and were very close now so it would be disappointing if we couldn’t room together.
As long as you request each other, you’re all set. That’s why the students usually create an elaborate matching process on Facebook.
