I’m trying to book flights home for the end of the fall semester? The schedule says exams run through 12/20. It looks like the last exam starts about 1:30. How long do they go? I’m trying to figure out the best time to book a flight out on 12/20.
You have two hours to do the exam. However, you could be possibly be done with exams before 12/20, depending on your professor. I don’t know where you live, but you don’t really need to book tickets this far in advance (unless you live in some obscure place).
You may want to call the Registrar and confirm what the latest exam fall semester can be. And it also may be worth a call to ResLife to be sure it won’t be an issue staying on for a day or two if you buy tickets in advance and your exams end earlier.
@knowledgeless - Depending on the classes you are taking, you may or may not have an exam on that last day. Please wait until you have your schedule and syllabus. Because you don’t want to book a flight out on the 20th when you don’t have an exam and your last test may have been the 18th.
What ResLife will tell you is this: You have to vacate your dorm within 24 hours after your last exam or be subject to a $25 per hour (yes, that’s PER HOUR) fine. Those who have requested and have been approved for “late stay” (those are only for anyone dorming in Walsh, Campbell/Salice-Conley because those are apartment style dorms for upperclassmen), can remain on campus. So unless you know someone living in any of those dorms and that person says it’s ok for you to stay there for a couple of days (with ResLife approval) can you do this.
Wait before booking. It’s only June. When classes start there will be a link also in My.Fordham that will have a tentative finals schedule. That might come out later in September or October. And make sure you ask your professor if they are having a test on that day, because my daughter had papers to hand in instead.
