<p>Just wondering how much you wrote for the essays? Particularly those short question essay, like What would you like to major in at Cornell?</p>
<p>I know that it shouldn't be like...I wanna be a bio major. </p>
<p>But rather, something with reason and explanation etc etc. So how long should that be?</p>

<p>all of mine were within 10 words of the max, i made sure i didn't go over</p>
<p>I spoke to them, they said that they don't count words and that they would rather a long good essay than a shorter not so great essay. All of mine went over, so as long as your not repetitive and you tell them stuff they would like to know about you, then its just fine.</p>
<p>but if you used common app, then you cant go over. mine where whatever they needed to be to say what I needed to say, without going over. big essay was 422. one of the short ones was exactly the limit, another was 30 below.</p>
