<p>You have to factor in what timeline your high school has for transcripts and recommendations. For instance, my son’s high school requires at least 5 days for transcript processing and at least 15 days for recommendations (both teacher and counselor). However, some teachers may refuse later requests for recommendations if they already have too many requests, so the earlier you can get those requested, the better.</p>
<p>If you have the option to submit your application, do it as early as possible. For SOME larger volume schools they take the first 20,000 or so applications that fit their admission criteria and accept those student automatically. There is a definite advantage to submitting your application early.</p>
