How long can the "guidance counselor" letter be?

I am attempting to articulate our homeschool experience.

How long did you make yours? I'm feeling like I could go on forever, but know this isn't what the colleges prefer...

My dh and I worked hard to keep ours under two pages.

The one for dd ended up being about 1 1/2 pages, single-spaced. The one for ds (this year's senior) is a bit longer sut still on two pages.

The colleges we have talked with have said that they want to see all we (as homeschoolers) send them, but I figure that there is a limit to their patience and time. We figured we could at least give them an idea of what our child and his homeschool experience has been like in two pages.

Now there is a Common Application homeschoolers supplement that will give you some ideas what issues are most important to colleges.

or

The article below from College Board

is also very helpful.

Ours were also a little under two pages. I think that is long enough to give a good overview of your homeschooling experience without overdoing it.
