if you bought your labtop through SCI, how long did it take to deliver????
now I think I'll buy an iBook through SCI...but I don't know if I will get it before I leave....also....an ibook is good enough for internet&word purposes right??

I bought a Dell and it took 2 weeks.... I ordered it on the 5th or 6th and it came on the 20th.

The iBook is an amazing machine. A little known fact about Princeton is that they kick you off the network if you get a virus, and Macs never get viruses so they don't get kicked off the network. The machine that Princeton sells comes fully loaded with MS office for Mac OS X.

i bought mine on the 5th and it came on the 28th or so. (I bought a powerbook).

Bought mine on the July 7th or 8th, got it on August 2nd (powerbook)

how small is an ibook?? 12-inch one...is it hard to type because the keyboard is too small??

It's pretty small...I'd suggest you go out to a store and check it out in person if you want to get a feel for it. I don't think people have trouble typing (unless you have really big fingers...) and you can always attach external keyboards/monitors. the 12inch is good if you plan to take it everywhere, as it is quite portable.

I don't think there's enough time for me to buy an ibook through SCI....I guess I'll just buy it at the apple store......

If you want the ibook, I think the 14" is a better size than the 12"

But if you want to order through SCI, you can arranged to pick it up on campus...

I saw both 12" and 14" ibook at apple store today..keyboards are awesome! i g2 decide if i want 14inch or 12 inch...

in my opinion, the 14" is just as portable as the 12" and you might appreciate the bigger screen if you're using it as your only computer (ie. no external monitor).

I don't even find my 7lb 15.4" a pain to carry... but that's me.

And yes, take care of your computer with respect to spyware/viruses. Getting temporarily banned from the network is not a fun experience.

how do I make an arrangement for my labtop to be delivered to campus??
I'm going to place an order...i assume I have to put my campus address??
I do not know what it is though..

I think there are directions on the SCI website.
