I'm only asking about the most serious relationship you've had, but you are free to say more.

4-5 months. It was an on/off thing for the duration of senior year. I grew up some over the summer and got over it at the beginning of college.

Never.

You always carry the pain of loss with you. I still do, at least.

Just don't get into relationships that are meant to be serious. Women let you down constantly. Its expected.

Are you a girl or guy? I'm assuming guy.

If you're a girl:

What the hell did you do to **** off your boyfriend to make him dump you?

Maybe he just wasn't into her anymore. Deluxe, why are you acting like men are loyal doggies who have no soul or purpose but to live for a woman (until she dumps him)?

I still haven't got over him. We have some unresolved issues though. It's sort of complicated.

there was a month of absolute hell. Then a couple of months after that to get back to the point where I was even somewhat interested in another relationship. Theres still a few pangs of sadness everyonce and a while as well.

Oh, and I think it also matters how much you felt for them. If it was just like, or caring, then it will take alot less than if it was really love.

A day.

2 years of dating. He went off to college. I went off to college. And I was over him.

That's because you're surrounded by all these NEW guys and maybe some of them were already drooling over you and vice versa. Right? ;)

Exactly. ;-)

quitejaded, by now you should stand my angle...

Nothing from my post would say that I think men are "loyal doggies"

Don't you recognize my bias towards men being right and women being the evil ones?? Read more.

I dated a guy all through college. We broke up senior year. Oh boy, was pining for him! In the fall, he visited the city where I was working and we slept together. As I walked to work to the next morning, I remember saying to myself, "Oh well, I don't need that anymore."

I recognize your bias and I'm trying to tell you that you're ridiculous and you won't talk about it. Or even defend yourself. You're spewing your BS all over the place, and when someone challenges you you don't say anything but "but that's what's happened to me :("

About a day or two.

Ha-ha , can anyone ever observe anything in the world and report it back without putting in some 'bias' or distortion of the truth? Language isn't absolute-is that apple on the table truly the shade of red, or is it half-red and half-gray?
