How long did you all spend on your essays?

I’ve been working on the essays since they dropped on the blogs in late July. I’ve spent almost an hour every day since then trying to write them, but I have made no progress at all.

I don’t want to spend way to much time on the essays unless this is typical because I’m tired.

The big problem is I just don’t have any ideas for the 250 word essays, so if you have some advice, let me know.

@7YearsPerHour best advice I can give is, don’t sweat it too much. Yes, the essays are important, but it is not the same as some final paper in your last CI-M where everything has to be perfect (not really).

I don’t know/remember the topics, but 250 words isn’t much, so answer the prompts concisely, and answer only the prompts.

Plenty of great advice on the MIT website including this:

Pat yourself on the back @7YearsPerHour . MIT is my #1 choice and I haven’t even started on the essays lol…

It’s more of a curse than you might guess. It’s not even that I don’t have essays, is just that they aren’t making the cut. I have like 7000 words worth of drafts but I can’t shape any of them into something really good.

RIP the dream
