I realized of the 10 colleges I'm applying to, 7 are in the common app! And the suppliments all roll over. Rutgers's and Brown's applications aren't out yet, but if Columbia's application is any measure, that won't take that long too. I'm spending the next month revising my essays.

My question is, my mother, and many of my friends, have been freaking out, and still are, about getting all the paperwork done in time. Am I missing something major? Post your completion times so I may compare.

Overall I did the common app for about two hours plus another, oh about another hour and a half for my common app essay [Had my teacher edit it, so I didn't bother much on revising, plus I hate editing personally]. And then I had my MIT app which took around four hours, and then all of the supplements took about an hour and a half to handwrite [I mailed in everything]. And then I had four short essays [Tufts and Princeton] that took about a half hour for each and then my Harvey Mudd essay took about an hour and a half. So overall about 12.5 hours, though I didn't need to do anything but the common app and basic supplements for eight of the twelve. Though, for Harvard and Yale I didn't bother with the optional essays on account of time.

My Stanford application took longer than all my other applications combined. 4 essays...God in heaven it was hard.

I'm curious to know CC students' overall time. I keep procastinating for something that feels like I've been building my whole life for, and have dedicated my last four years to. I just can't seem to get started on those 3 essays required for Vanderbilt, nor any EA applications I have to fill out. All of which are due Nov. 1st. Do I still have proper time to finish with some wiggle room? I'm interested in how long it took everyone else.

Oh, to make you feel better I forgot to bring up the fact that I did my apps in late November through mid-December, so...

Yeah, that does make me feel a bit better... thanks.
