how long did it take you guys to get an answer from PSU?
it seems like some people have been admitted, and i was wondering why so soon.

<p>to ease some of your thoughts...my mom called admissions and basically what they do is review some of the applications just briefly, and send out people who's GPAs are extremely low, and accept peoples that are extremely high (4.0s). then they basically descend and send out the second highest scores. they also do it by school, so they told me the school of agriculture is reviewed mainly in january. so basically people who are accepted now have extremely high GPAs, or applied to the school that was reviewed first.</p>

<p>It took them about 3-4 weeks to make a decision for me. I sent my app in mid October, and I got accepted on November 13th I think.</p>
<p>SAT: 2290 770CR, 800M, 720W
GPA: 4.0UW 4.27W</p>

<p>Sent late September and still waiting. I've wanted to go there since I was like 7 . They're killing me!!!!</p>

<p>They recieved my application on 11/28 and as of 12/14 they had reached a decision. I applied as a Journalism major to the College of Communications.</p>

<p>from what i heard from one of the counslers they do the high gpas and low gpas first. (obvious rejections/acceptances). Then they work their way to the middle and make the harder desicions last.</p>
<p>I have 4 friends that have all been accepted with 3.4 and 3.5 GPA's some which applied in September and some in November, one of them that applied later received it back before the Sept kid.</p>

<p>applied in september with a 3.5 GPA and 1500/2200 SAT, still havent heard back.</p>
<p>In my grade we had roughly 22 people apply (out of 45). So far, some people have gotten into upark, others have gotten into other campus like altoona, but there are 6 of us who haven't heard anything yet. We all got our applications and forms in by end of August/start of September. It's a long wait.</p>
