I sent NU's financial aid office a letter of appeal about a week ago. How long do they usually take to respond to such letters? Their website says two weeks, but is there any chance it'll be sooner?

I also sent a mail appealing for fin aid about two weeks ago but I still haven’t heard anything back. Some people say NU is too busy right now so it’s going to respond in JULY. I hope that’s not the case…

I already got my appealed amount back. It only went up $2000 in aid. Not significant considering the drastic change we had in income…

I love Northwestern, but I love Cornell too. If they decide to give me more than Northwestern… That may be my deciding factor.

I too requested a financial aid appeal. It was received monday so I’m still being patient. Anyways, when I was down for wildcat days I asked about the process and the counselor said that it generally takes about 5 business days. Hope that helps!

We got a response to our appeal a little over a week after our materials were sent via FedEx. I think they will certainly try to get you an answer before May 1.

We sent ours last Tuesday and the info was updated on the website yesterday. Only $1000 increase, meh.
